
Draping Final Day Dress - designed, draped/patterned, & constructed from scratch. Overlapping wrap-around panels/collar + invisible zipper + floating sleeves.










Modern Hanbok - The top was inspired by a Korean Hanbok, designed with an oversized silhouette and paired with a removable/separate hood. The pants feature 4 main panels on each leg with the addition of godets and pleated knees. All three pieces were designed, patterned, and constructed from scratch.







Zero-Waste Draped Dress - Designed and constructed from scratch by draping and sewing two whole pieces of a faux suede knit (dark gray) + an unknown thrifted knit (white), only cutting off at the hem. Sculptural but soft silhouette, complemented by a full-length wrap.







CLO 3D Dress - Fully patterned on CLO3D, then printed and sewn in real life. Features accented princess seams and a center-front + center-back inverted box pleat.





Trace Suit - Designed, patterned, and constructed for my Tailoring final. Fully lined and made with 100% melton wool for the jacket and 100% Super 120’s wool for the pants. The pants have overlaying panels that are detachable by button.






Helix Dress - Inspired by the book “Pattern Magic,” this dress was fully designed, patterned, and constructed from scratch. Features intertwining sleeves that connect and extend from both the armhole and neckline, as well as a multi-paneled body with contrasting white binding/piping on every seam.








IJIN is a design practice led by Anthony Choo, a rising senior in Fashion Design at VCUarts. Derived from Anthony's Korean name, IJIN reflects a connection to cultural identity, personal experience, and creative exploration.
Focused on experimental design, IJIN explores avant-garde and deconstructivist approaches to clothing through silhouette, construction, and material experimentation. The work aims to balance concept and emotion with thoughtful, wearable design.
Using both digital and traditional design methods, IJIN works with Adobe Creative Suite, fashion illustration, and CLO3D throughout the development process. Areas of focus include patternmaking, technical package development, and garment construction, bringing ideas from concept to finished garment.
